Emergency Response
Ocean Blue is a full-service environmental management company specializing in emergency response. Ocean Blue provides emergency response services to a wide variety of clients, both public and private, and has long-term single-source contracts with many government agencies.
We truly understand the importance of emergency response. On an average day, Ocean Blue performs three emergency responses, making us one of the most experienced and well-equipped emergency responders in Southern California.
Because response time is crucial in any emergency response situation, Ocean Blue is strategically located adjacent to the 710 and 405 freeways. In addition, we always have supervisors and technicians (all 40-hour HAZWOPER trained), equipment and materials on stand-by mode to enable the most rapid response possible.
Ocean Blue supervisors are First Response trained, and drive utility trucks loaded with containment equipment and supplies so they can contain most any spill situation. A team of technicians with fully stocked emergency response units and other equipment will also be dispatched if necessary.
Ocean Blue can handle a wide range of chemical, petroleum and sewage spills on both land and water. We have extensive experience with overturned tankers and carry all the equipment to safely ground, drill and pump off any rollover in a rapid manner.
Many spills involve hazardous waste flowing into storm drains and other confined space areas. Ocean Blue personnel are especially trained, equipped and experienced to meet the many challenges and dangers of confined space entries and cleaning.
Finally, Ocean Blue staff has interfaced and coordinated response activities with representatives from the US Coast Guard, EPA, California Fish & Game, County Public Works, County Haz-Mat Division, Department of Health Services, Fire Haz-Mat Departments, and State Lands Commission.
When there’s a spill, call Ocean Blue!
